Hollowed Streets
The city was covered by sorrow, stuck in a standstill. It was the Chinese New Year, and the city should have been full of laughter and joy, with people busy hanging around the street, doing shopping, visiting relatives celebrating a year of hard work and relishing these rare moments with family.
However, the city is trapped in a deathly silence, and sadness has become the main theme. The night sky was lit up by lonely street lights instead of celebratory fireworks.
Inside Out, Outside In
The furthest distance in the world is no longer that I am on this side of the earth and you are on the other side of the earth, but that two people are so close, but are blocked by the wall, one stuck inside and the other on the outside looking in, one inside and one outside.
During lockdown, those closed doors separated countless people, creating two distinct worlds—one inside and one outside.
Welcome to Wuhan Station
Wuhan Railway Station should be at its busiest time. This is in central China, and it is Chinese New Year. Countless people from all over the country stop by here. But at this moment, there is only a sign saying "Welcome to Wuhan Railway Station" illuminating the empty railway station platform and exit.
